About the Role
This full-time Home Health Aide position with Northwell Health in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, centers on delivering compassionate, day-to-day personal care to clients in a home setting. The role includes a sign-on bonus and offers an hourly pay range of $19.50–$25.65.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patients with everyday personal care routines, including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and assistance during meals.
- Help clients move safely through exercises, walking, and transfers between positions or surfaces.
- Assist with the proper use of mobility aids such as canes and walkers to promote safe movement.
- Observe each client's condition and comfort, communicating any changes to the appropriate care team members.
- Foster a clean, respectful, and supportive home environment for every patient.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with personal care techniques and the correct use of assistive devices like canes and walkers.
- A patient, dependable, and caring approach to supporting individuals in their homes.
- Strong attention to client safety during ambulation, transfers, and daily activities.
- Willingness to work full-time in the Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County area.
