Responsibilities

• Advise senior leadership on emerging risks, adaptation progress and loss-and-damage financing or governance developments.
• Represent Climate at conferences, working groups and bilateral discussions related to climate impacts, adaptation and loss and damage.
• Establish quality-control processes, knowledge-management routines and cross-team coordination mechanisms that keep the unit effective and scalable.

Who We're Looking For

• Demonstrable experience leading multi-disciplinary teams working on climate impacts, adaptation planning or loss-and-damage issues.
• Deep familiarity with climate-risk science, vulnerability assessment methods and internationally recognised adaptation frameworks.
• Strong grasp of loss-and-damage concepts under global climate regimes and the practical tools used to quantify and address them.
• Proven capacity to translate complex technical material into clear strategic advice for decision-makers and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages and experience operating in European or international policy settings are advantageous.
• A collaborative leadership style that mentors specialists while maintaining rigorous standards of analysis and communication.
