What This Role Involves
The Groundskeeper at St. Andrew's Parks & Playground will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, landscaping, and outdoor facilities. Duties include mowing grass, trimming hedges, planting flowers, caring for trees, and ensuring all areas are clean and well-kept.
Key Responsibilities
- Mow, edge, and trim grass and shrubs to maintain a neat appearance of the grounds.
- Clean up debris, trash, and litter from parks and playgrounds.
- Plant, fertilize, and water flowers, trees, and other landscaping elements as needed.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on outdoor equipment and facilities.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in groundskeeping or related field preferred but not required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary for transportation of equipment and materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
