What This Role Involves

The Grocery Clerk position at Belfast Community Co-op is a full-time opportunity where you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our grocery department. Key responsibilities include stocking shelves, managing inventory, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Core Duties

• Stocking and organizing shelves with fresh produce, dairy products, bakery items, and other groceries.
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels by counting stock and updating records.
• Assisting customers in finding products, answering questions, and providing recommendations based on their needs.
• Cleaning and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accuracy of sales data.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with excellent customer service skills who can work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will be solution-oriented, detail-focused, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience in grocery or retail is preferred but not required.
