Join Elephas as a General Supervisor in our CAP/CLIA Lab in Madison, WI.
The Opportunity
- Lead a team of lab technicians and ensure the smooth operation of our CAP/CLIA certified laboratory.
- Oversee daily lab activities, including sample processing, testing, and result reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high quality in all laboratory operations.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary lab supplies and equipment.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and mentor lab technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of lab results into the overall healthcare process.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and plan for future projects.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in lab technology and incorporate them into lab practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field or related discipline.
- Certified Laboratory Supervisor (CLS) or CAP certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of CAP and CLIA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
