About the Role

This is a full-time position serving a multi-location funeral service firm dedicated to honoring the deceased and supporting families with professionalism and care. You'll combine technical expertise in embalming with the interpersonal skill and sensitivity required to coordinate meaningful funeral arrangements and ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Perform embalming and prepare human remains according to Washington state regulations and professional standards
• Meet with families to discuss service options, arrangements, and available offerings
• Coordinate funeral logistics including venue setup, music, floral arrangements, and guest accommodations
• Complete death certificates, permits, and regulatory documentation accurately and timely
• Conduct or assist with funeral services and memorial ceremonies as needed
• Maintain professional composure while providing compassionate support to grieving families
• Coordinate with cemeteries, crematoriums, florists, and other service vendors

What We're Looking For

• Valid funeral director and embalmer licenses for Washington
• Proven experience in funeral service, embalming, or related funeral industry work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with genuine empathy for families
• Ability to manage multiple arrangements and priorities independently
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to regulatory compliance
