The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team at the Beauchamp Recreation and Wellness Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading and organizing group fitness classes that cater to students, faculty, and staff.

Your Responsibilities

  • Designing and maintaining class structure and safety policies
  • Capturing attendance and ensuring accurate records are kept
  • Building progressive fitness programming throughout the course of your tenure
  • Providing modifications for all fitness levels to ensure inclusivity
  • Maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere during classes

Qualifications

  • A degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
  • Certification as a Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor from AFAA, ACSM, or similar organization
  • Experience teaching group fitness classes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging class content
