The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team at the Beauchamp Recreation and Wellness Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading and organizing group fitness classes that cater to students, faculty, and staff.
Your Responsibilities
- Designing and maintaining class structure and safety policies
- Capturing attendance and ensuring accurate records are kept
- Building progressive fitness programming throughout the course of your tenure
- Providing modifications for all fitness levels to ensure inclusivity
- Maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere during classes
Qualifications
- A degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
- Certification as a Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor from AFAA, ACSM, or similar organization
- Experience teaching group fitness classes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging class content
