FIRE PROTECTION DESIGNER at ZARRELLCO in Chicago, IL (In-Office)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Designer to join our growing team in Chicago. This is an in-office position ideal for a motivated professional who can contribute to the design and implementation of fire protection systems.
<h2-Core Duties- Design, develop, and document fire protection systems according to codes and standards
- Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Review plans for compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Prepare bid packages and assist in the bidding process for fire protection systems
- Provide technical support during construction phases to ensure proper installation of fire protection systems
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fire Protection Designer or related field
- Strong understanding of NFPA codes and standards for fire protection systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field is required
