Data Integration & Interface Analyst

CSCI Consulting is seeking a Data Integration & Interface Analyst for a remote full-time role supporting its Department of War (DoW / DoD) client with critical data movements that enable federal financial reporting and decision processes.

About the Role

This remote Data Integration & Interface Analyst position centers on shaping, verifying, exercising, and reinforcing essential data linkages that span originating applications, intermediate staging layers, transformation steps, and eventual reporting destinations. You will work side by side with developers, ERP custodians, finance partners, data specialists, and PMO colleagues to keep information complete, precise, and dependable throughout the landscape. Success means stronger source-to-target checks, thorough reconciling, interface validation, cutover preparedness, operational steadiness after go-live, and rapid resolution of problems that affect government financial outcomes.

Core Duties

• Help articulate integration needs, interface design details, mapping logic, control points, and acceptance standards that govern data travel between systems
• Contribute to the build, exercise, and confirmation of batch interfaces, APIs, file-based transfers, and transformation jobs that feed OneStream and related reporting environments
• Confirm data accuracy as it progresses from origin applications through staging zones, warehouses, and final report outputs
• Execute reconciling work, including three-way comparisons among source platforms, refined data sets, and downstream statements
• Surface and correct interface outages, discarded records, mapping flaws, schema mismatches, quality shortfalls, and processing exceptions
• Partner with developers, platform owners, and business contacts to isolate root causes and enact lasting fixes
• Confirm that reference values, master records, hierarchies, and leading attributes align for trustworthy financial reporting and day-to-day operations
• Support System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, cutover checks, deployment readiness reviews, and production surveillance
• Keep current interface descriptions, mapping documents, reconciling steps, runbooks, and issue logs
• Help stabilize live environments by prioritizing integration disruptions and restoring consistent end-to-end processing

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance is required
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Business, or closely related discipline; comparable professional background may substitute
• Five or more years supporting data integration, interface oversight, ETL workflows, system remediation, or enterprise platform rollouts
• Hands-on work with source-to-target mapping, data transformation, interface controls, and reconciling practices
• Clear understanding of batch processing, file-based linkages, APIs, and multi-system data movement patterns
• Ability to trace data journeys across platforms and isolate quality, transformation, or interface defects
• Experience with testing cycles that include SIT, UAT, defect triage, regression runs, and production-readiness validation
• Familiarity with documentation norms, traceability rules, change control, and implementation governance
• Proficiency in SQL, data-analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, and common collaboration platforms
• Creative and flexible problem-solving mindset, client-focused discovery skills, strong organization, clear written and spoken communication, and professional presence
• Preferred experience includes OneStream, ERP or financial-management platforms, federal accounting structures, GL concepts, Treasury reporting, GTAS, financial-data interfaces, data migration, cutover planning, Advana, Azure, SQL Server, ETL suites, Power BI, team and solo delivery, customer and vendor relations, adherence to data policies, eagerness to learn high-value technologies, Federal agency work, and Department of War exposure
