About This Position
We are seeking a Field Troubleshooting Technician to join our team at Invenergy. As a Field Troubleshooting Technician in the wind sector, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues with wind turbines. This is a full-time position based in Detroit, Michigan, requiring no remote work.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of wind turbines
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of wind turbines
- Develop and maintain detailed service reports for all turbine-related issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement corrective actions and improve system efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during field operations
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience
- Proven troubleshooting skills with wind turbine systems
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems of wind turbines
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment, often outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within the region
