Southern Auto Finance Company is seeking an experienced Auto Finance Relationship Manager for our Newark operations. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll own and develop our established New Jersey market through direct dealer relationships and field-based territory management.

Role Overview

As our Relationship Manager, you'll take ownership of a defined territory across Newark and Essex County, building and nurturing dealer partnerships that drive loan originations. You'll represent Southern Auto Finance Company's commitment to helping dealers say yes to customers other lenders turn away—managing the full credit spectrum from subprime to prime borrowers. This is a field-facing role where your personal relationships, market knowledge, and sales acumen directly determine success.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dealer relationships within your assigned territory in Newark and Essex County
  • Identify and recruit new dealers to expand SAFCO's market presence
  • Present financing programs and credit solutions tailored to dealer and consumer needs
  • Manage territory performance, including origination volume, dealer satisfaction, and loan quality
  • Conduct regular dealer visits and provide on-site support to drive sales
  • Educate dealers on SAFCO's unique lending approach for non-prime credit profiles
  • Track market trends and competitive activity within your region

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in auto finance, dealer sales, or field-based relationship management
  • Strong ability to build and close dealer partnerships
  • Understanding of credit products, dealer workflows, and consumer lending
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage a territory independently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel throughout your assigned territory
