This is a full-time remote position based in the Benson, Douglas County area, ideal for an experienced editorial leader ready to shape learning materials that inspire students and advance the field.

About the Role

As Editorial Manager, you'll lead the development and refinement of psychology educational content for students pursuing mid-level and advanced studies. You'll work at the intersection of subject-matter expertise, pedagogical innovation, and publishing excellence, ensuring every learning resource meets the highest standards for clarity, accuracy, and impact.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the editorial lifecycle of psychology textbooks and supplementary materials, from conceptualization through production
  • Collaborate with academic subject-matter experts, instructors, and authors to develop rigorous, engaging curriculum content
  • Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with learning objectives across multi-level psychology programs
  • Manage editorial timelines, budgets, and cross-functional projects with design, production, and marketing teams
  • Evaluate market trends and instructor feedback to identify gaps and opportunities in psychology education offerings
  • Review and substantively edit manuscript submissions, providing developmental feedback that strengthens pedagogical value
  • Champion accessibility and inclusivity standards in learning materials for diverse student populations

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in educational publishing or content development, with demonstrated editorial leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of psychology as a discipline, particularly at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Proven ability to manage complex editorial projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for clarity and pedagogical effectiveness
  • Familiarity with modern learning platforms, digital publishing, and educational technology
  • Self-directed work style suited to remote collaboration and independent project ownership
