About This Position

This position is for an Educational Technician (Ed Tech) I, II, or III within the Special Education Department at Somerset Elementary School in Hartland. The Ed Tech will support students with special needs in a Preschool (PK) classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting student learning and development in PK classrooms
• Assisting teachers in creating and implementing educational plans for students with special needs
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students

Requirements

• Experience in education or related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Pedagogical knowledge of special education practices
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Certification as an Ed Tech I, II, or III from the appropriate state authority is required
