Join DIS-TRAN Steel's Pole Plant 2 production team in Pineville, Louisiana as a full-time Production Welder on our night shift. We're seeking a skilled, detail-oriented welder to help manufacture and assemble steel transmission poles that power American infrastructure.
About the Role
DIS-TRAN Steel produces precision-welded transmission and distribution poles serving the electric utility industry. As a Production Welder on the night shift, you'll operate critical welding equipment, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your expertise directly impacts product integrity and safety.
What You'll Do
- Perform MIG, stick, and flux-core welding on steel pole assemblies and components
- Read and interpret welding specifications, blueprints, and work orders
- Maintain consistent weld quality and meet strict tolerance requirements
- Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Operate welding equipment safely and maintain workstations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quotas
- Report equipment issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated welding experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with multiple welding processes (MIG, stick, flux-core)
- Ability to read and follow welding drawings and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliability and ability to work night shift hours
- Physical ability to lift, stand for extended periods, and work in varying conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred
