About the Role
Saab, Inc.’s Surveillance Systems Division is seeking a Software Engineering Director to lead their growing and evolving Software and Cybersecurity organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Engineering, this role will lead a team of engineers and software engineering managers to deliver high-quality software products.
Core Duties
- Lead a team of engineers and software engineering managers in delivering high-quality software products.
- Elevate the organization’s technical capabilities through strategic planning, process improvement, and technology adoption.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations while maintaining product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
