Role Overview

Critical opportunity to lead energy security and emergency response within the Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability division of DCCEEW. This is a SEB1 level position with a temporary duration until 25 October 2026.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage energy security and emergency management strategies to protect the state’s environment and heritage.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols for energy security and emergency response.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in energy security and emergency management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• A deep understanding of environmental, climate change, and sustainability issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
