The Opportunity

Avertium is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our Managed Security Services Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide exceptional technical support and assistance to our managed service customers worldwide. You will play an integral role in helping our clients navigate their security journey by conducting research, diagnosing issues, troubleshooting, and resolving security tool-related problems with precision and efficiency.

  • Work with diverse systems, software, and hardware including Microsoft XDR, Sentinel, SentinelOne, Azure, and AWS environments
  • Support customers in reducing attack surface risk, strengthening compliance, and ensuring continuous threat protection
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of security-related issues

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex security tool-related issues in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate and actionable insights to help customers improve their security posture
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security tools and processes

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field
  • Possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering and support roles
  • Be proficient with Microsoft XDR, Sentinel, SentinelOne, Azure, and AWS environments
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and colleagues
