The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Coordinator to lead our Bands and Percussion programs at Seymour College, an independent girls' school committed to academic excellence. This role will involve fostering a vibrant musical environment that supports the personal and educational growth of our students.

• Oversee the Bands and Percussion programs
• Develop and implement curricula aligned with national standards
• Collaborate with other music faculty members to enhance the overall music program
• Supervise and mentor student musicians, providing guidance on technique and performance
• Organize and lead musical events, including concerts and competitions

Your Responsibilities

The Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation in music
• Developing lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs and abilities
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Attending school events and meetings as required
• Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

• A relevant music degree or equivalent experience
• A proven track record of success in leading musical programs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
• The ability to inspire and motivate young musicians
