Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Novant Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Community Hospital of Stokes in Mount Tabor, Forsyth County, North Carolina. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver emergency care in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical setting while advancing your nursing career through specialized ED training and clinical pathways.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide immediate, compassionate care to patients across all acuity levels. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position with a day shift schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm, allowing predictable scheduling and work-life balance while serving a diverse patient population.

What You'll Do

• Assess patients upon arrival and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment throughout their ED visit
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments under physician direction
• Perform nursing interventions including wound care, patient education, and comfort measures
• Communicate with emergency medicine physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and documentation
• Support patient safety protocols and infection control standards
• Respond to emergency situations with clinical expertise and composure

What We're Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Clinical experience in emergency nursing or acute care environments preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-acuity settings
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
