About the Role

As Communications Strategist / PR Manager, you'll develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that elevate Siemens' brand visibility and reputation. You'll work across public relations, corporate messaging, and stakeholder engagement to support organizational goals and drive meaningful conversations with key audiences in the Washington, D.C. market and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement strategic communications plans that align with company objectives and support key business initiatives
• Craft and distribute compelling press releases, media statements, and news announcements to drive earned media coverage
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, industry analysts, and media outlets
• Manage crisis communications and reputation protection, responding quickly to emerging issues
• Create and oversee content for communications channels including website, social media, and internal publications
• Coordinate media relations, including interviews, press conferences, and speaking engagements
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitive positioning to inform strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, leadership, and business units
• Measure and report on communications effectiveness through metrics and analytics

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or related fields
• Proven success developing and executing strategic communications campaigns
• Strong writing and editing skills with ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences
• Excellent media relations experience and journalist network
• Experience managing communications during challenging business situations or transitions
• Proficiency with communications tools, CMS platforms, and social media management
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
