The Opportunity
Join Halfords as a Commercial Tyre Technician - Mobile in Willesden, North West London and step into a full-time role with on-target earnings of £40,000 to £60,000 formed from salary, bonus, overtime and callout rates. An uncapped bonus scheme covers overtime and call-out rates as well. The position is fully mobile, with a van, tools and PPE all supplied, and the working pattern runs Monday to Saturday ending at midday each Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Drive the supplied van to customer sites around Willesden and North West London to deliver on-the-spot commercial tyre services
- Inspect commercial vehicle tyres for wear, damage and correct pressures before carrying out safe removal and precise fitting
- Complete balancing, puncture repairs and full tyre replacements that meet all safety regulations
- Identify tyre-related faults on commercial vehicles and advise customers on suitable solutions
- Keep the van, tools and PPE clean, organised and ready for the next job
- Represent Halfords professionally while delivering clear communication and reliable service at every visit
Skills & Qualifications
- Solid experience working as a Commercial Vehicle Tyre Fitter or in an equivalent Commercial Tyre Technician - Mobile position
- Practical knowledge of commercial tyre fitting techniques, balancing methods and on-site equipment
- Capability to operate independently while travelling between locations in and around Willesden, North West London
- Physical strength and careful attention to detail when handling heavy commercial tyres and tools
- Reliability, clear customer communication and readiness for a Monday-to-Saturday schedule
