Role Overview

As Cloud Infrastructure & IT Operations Manager at Offdutymanagement in Katy, TX, you will direct the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of cloud platforms alongside traditional IT systems. The role centers on ensuring reliable infrastructure performance, strong security practices, and efficient operations so internal users can work without interruption. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people management and process optimization in a growing organization that values clear ownership of cloud and IT outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, provisioning, and ongoing administration of cloud infrastructure across major providers to meet capacity, availability, and cost goals
• Own day-to-day IT operations including server, network, storage, identity, and endpoint services for the Katy location and distributed users
• Establish monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster-recovery practices that keep systems stable and recoverable
• Drive security hardening, patch management, and compliance controls across cloud and on-premises environments
• Coordinate incident response, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes for infrastructure and operations issues
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers while evaluating tools that improve efficiency
• Mentor IT staff, set clear priorities, and foster collaboration between infrastructure, development, and business stakeholders
• Document architecture, procedures, and runbooks so knowledge remains accessible and current

What We're Looking For

• Proven background managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or equivalent) and enterprise IT operations for multi-user environments
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, monitoring platforms, and identity services
• Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, security best practices, and hybrid cloud architectures
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, prioritize work, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of improving reliability, cost efficiency, and service levels
