About the Role

As a Medical Surgical Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) at our Ridgeland facility, you'll coordinate comprehensive patient care on our medical-surgical units. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes while working alongside a supportive clinical team that values your expertise, clinical judgment, and dedication to evidence-based nursing practice.

What You'll Do

• Assess patients and monitor their clinical status, adjusting care plans as needed
• Implement physician orders and evidence-based treatments within your scope of practice
• Coordinate care activities across the medical-surgical unit, communicating with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, medications, and discharge planning
• Document patient interactions and clinical assessments in electronic health records
• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and rights throughout their hospital stay
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to maintain quality standards and respond to patient needs

What We're Looking For

• Current, valid RN license in good standing
• Demonstrated experience in medical-surgical or acute care nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare team members
