About the Role
This is a full-time, over-the-road (OTR) team position hauling dry van freight under a 1099 independent contractor agreement. You'll operate as part of a two-person driving team on dedicated, line-haul lanes, keeping loads moving across long distances with no driver load or unload responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Run OTR dry van freight as one half of a Class A driving team based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- Cover dedicated, line-haul routes, averaging roughly 6,000 to 7,000 miles per week per team.
- Operate without driver load/unload duties — your focus stays on safe, efficient transport.
- Plan for extended trips of about 5 to 6 days out per stretch on the road.
- Maintain compliance and safe driving practices throughout each haul.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license free of restrictions including (L), (Z) Air Brakes, and (G).
- Willingness to work as part of a team driver pairing on OTR runs.
- Comfortable operating under a 1099 independent contractor arrangement.
- Able to commit to a schedule of 5 to 6 expected days out, earning one day of home time for every five days worked, with weekends home not guaranteed.
Compensation & Home Time
- Estimated gross pay of $3,400 to $3,600 total per week on average per team.
- Average weekly mileage of 6,000 to 7,000 miles per team.
- Home time accrues at one day off for every five days worked.
