What This Role Involves

The role of a Class A CDL Company Driver at U.S. Xpress - Dedicated involves operating dry van trucks in a dedicated route to deliver goods across the United States. Drivers will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of their vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver freight using dry van trailers on assigned routes
• Maintain a clean and safe driving record by following all traffic regulations and company policies
• Inspect vehicles for any damages or issues before and after each trip to ensure safety and compliance with company standards
• Follow all shipping documents accurately, ensuring that the correct items are loaded and unloaded at the right locations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to maintain smooth operations

Skills & Qualifications

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Minimum of 1-5 months’ experience as a professional truck driver is required
• Dedicated driving experience preferred but not mandatory
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in logistics, transportation, or related fields is beneficial but not required
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
