Childcare Class Aide

Edmond Public Schools is hiring a full-time Childcare Class Aide for the Bright Beginnings childcare center. In this position, you'll support young learners and educators in a structured, nurturing classroom environment while building the foundational experiences that shape early childhood development.

About the Role

This is a full-time position within the EPS Childcare Department. You'll work 8-hour days throughout the school year (185 days annually) under the guidance of the center's Director and Assistant Director. As a Childcare Class Aide, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to providing quality early care and education within the Edmond Public Schools system.

What You'll Do

• Assist lead teachers in classroom activities, learning centers, and developmental programming
• Support daily routines including transitions, meals, and rest periods
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
• Supervise and interact with children to encourage positive behavior and social development
• Support individual and group learning activities aligned with early childhood best practices
• Communicate with parents and staff about child progress and classroom needs

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with young children in a childcare, educational, or classroom setting (preferred)
• Genuine patience, enthusiasm, and dedication to supporting children's growth
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with educators and families
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour day
• Willingness to complete any required background checks and certifications
