About the Role
We're seeking a passionate early childhood educator to nurture infants and toddlers in our outdoor-focused learning environment. You'll create secure, stimulating spaces where the youngest learners develop confidence, curiosity, and connection to nature. This full-time position offers the opportunity to blend traditional early childhood practices with nature-based learning, using the outdoors as your classroom and natural materials as learning tools.
What You'll Do
- Provide attentive, responsive care for infants and wobblers throughout the day
- Foster safe exploration and outdoor discovery aligned with developmental milestones
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory play and natural curiosity
- Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with childcare regulations
- Support communication with families about their child's progress and daily experiences
- Collaborate with the Director and team to create a nurturing, cohesive classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for working with very young children (infants and toddlers)
- Experience or strong interest in nature-based or outdoor early childhood education
- Understanding of infant and toddler development and responsive caregiving practices
- Ability to work professionally and independently while supporting team goals
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check approval as required by childcare licensing
