Chief of Staff – Marketing

About the Role

As Chief of Staff to the CMO, you will build and steward the operating framework that powers MongoDB's worldwide marketing function. This full-time, on-site New York City position is for a seasoned operator who can translate strategy into execution, act as a trusted proxy for the CMO across the organization, and remove cross-functional roadblocks before they require escalation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, own, and continuously refine the operating system that allows a 300-person global marketing team to scale with discipline and alignment.
• Drive speed and focus across marketing initiatives, ensuring priorities stay coordinated end to end.
• Represent the Chief Marketing Officer in meetings and decisions throughout the organization.
• Identify and resolve cross-team friction independently, without routing every issue upward.
• Create the cadence, structure, and accountability that keep a large, fast-moving function moving in sync.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating at a senior level within a large or rapidly scaling organization.
• Strong command of marketing operations and the systems that enable teams to execute at scale.
• Ability to act with the authority and judgment of the CMO across diverse stakeholders.
• Skilled at resolving complex cross-functional challenges and building alignment.
• Comfortable working full-time, on-site in MongoDB's New York City office.
