The Opportunity
Bayview Gardens Retirement Living is nestled within a tropical oasis in rainforest-like grounds in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. With the brand new community centre set to open in August 2026, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of ongoing developments and growth within our community. As the Chef Manager, you will lead your small team of hospitality staff and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations in the cafe
- Develop and maintain menus that cater to diverse dietary needs
- Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation
- Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills and performance
- Manage inventory and budget effectively
- Collaborate with other departments for seamless service delivery
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or related field
- Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar role
- A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with budget management and inventory control
