The Opportunity

At Cherry Bekaert, we are seeking a dynamic Accounting Advisory Manager to join our team in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. As an integral part of our CFO Advisory division, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the performance of engagements by managing and delivering timely and accurate governmental accounting services. This includes the implementation of new accounting standards, account reconciliations, financial statement closing procedures, and financial statement preparation. You will also provide on-demand government accounting support to ensure compliance and accuracy.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibilities will involve:

• Managing and delivering timely and accurate governmental accounting services.
• Implementing new accounting standards and procedures.
• Performing account reconciliations and financial statement closing procedures.
• Preparing financial statements with precision and attention to detail.
• Providing on-demand government accounting support as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• At least 5 years of experience in governmental accounting and auditing.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
