Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle on assigned southeast regional routes departing from the Valdosta, GA area
• Complete thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report equipment needs promptly
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety rules, including hours-of-service limits and electronic logging practices
• Plan routes efficiently, keep freight secure, and meet pickup and delivery appointments
• Maintain accurate trip documentation, records, and status updates with dispatch
• Handle cargo with care, practice defensive driving, and represent J Rose Logistics professionally at shippers and receivers
• Perform light trailer work and load-securement checks as needed for each assignment

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A) in good standing
• Current DOT medical certification and ability to meet federal driver qualification standards
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and commitment to safe, legal driving
• Working knowledge of hours-of-service, ELD use, and standard trucking paperwork
• Strong situational awareness, time management, and clear radio or phone communication with dispatch
• Physical ability to perform pre-trip inspections, climb into and out of the cab, and complete typical driver duties
• Reliability for full-time southeast regional schedules that support home weekly periods near Valdosta, GA
• Professional attitude toward customers, co-drivers, and terminal staff
