About the Role
As a CDL A truck driver with Dollar General Fleet, you'll operate regional home weekly routes that provide stability and predictability compared to over-the-road driving. Your work directly supports Dollar General's nationwide network of retail locations and distribution centers, connecting our supply chain with stores across the region while maintaining a consistent schedule that gets you home regularly.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a Class A commercial truck to transport merchandise and freight
- Transport goods from distribution centers to Dollar General retail store locations throughout the region
- Maintain vehicle safety and mechanical standards in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Meet scheduled delivery commitments while prioritizing roadway safety and traffic compliance
- Support the expansion of Dollar General locations and store network growth
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Professional experience operating commercial vehicles
- Clean driving record with proven safety compliance history
- Ability to consistently meet delivery deadlines
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hours-of-service requirements
- Professional reliability and commitment to customer service
