Role Overview
Dollar General Fleet is seeking experienced Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Truck Drivers for regional home weekly routes. As a DG Fleet driver, you will be responsible for connecting our distribution centers with Dollar General stores and new locations expanding across the country. This role offers the unique opportunity to bring your loved ones along on your weekly commutes.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive semi-trucks safely and efficiently between distribution centers and retail locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while on the road.
- Handle loading and unloading of goods as required by store needs.
Requirements
- Holding a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Prior experience in over-the-road or regional driving is preferred but not mandatory.
- A clean driving record and passing of pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
