About the Role
APL Cargo is currently seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for over-the-road (OTR) positions. This role offers competitive pay and excellent benefits, making it an ideal opportunity for professional truckers.
Key Responsibilities
- Haul reefer cargo across the country as a long-haul driver
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of your vehicle at all times
- Follow all federal and state regulations related to commercial driving
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route inspections on vehicles
Who We're Looking For
- A minimum of a Class A CDL with reefer endorsement required
- At least 1 year of OTR driving experience preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
- A clean driving record, including no major traffic violations in the past three years
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed

Earn a competitive salary ranging from $78,000 - $109,200 annually. Home every two weeks is standard for this position. Additionally, performance bonuses are available after 90 days and at the one-year mark. The company also offers up to a 2 CPM increase upon reaching these milestones.
APL Cargo provides an excellent starting rate of 62 CPM, with potential increases based on performance. After one year, a guaranteed 1 CPM annual increase is provided. Drivers who choose the independent contractor status can earn up to 70 CPM.
