Pencco Inc is hiring a CDL A regional corrosive chemical hauler in Oak Lawn, Illinois (Chicago area). We're offering $32 to $34 per hour for this full-time position, seeking an experienced Class A driver ready to transport hazardous chemicals safely and compliantly.
About the Role
You'll operate DOT-compliant lined tank trailers moving corrosive chemicals on regional routes. This role demands strict adherence to federal hazmat and transportation safety standards, paired with the operational discipline that specialized cargo requires. Your expertise in chemical logistics and professional approach to hazardous material handling are essential.
What You'll Do
- Transport corrosive chemicals in DOT-certified lined tank trailers across regional service areas
- Execute pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting vehicle condition and equipment compliance
- Manage hazardous cargo documentation, shipping manifests, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and hazmat transportation protocols
- Operate within hours-of-service regulations and weight restriction standards
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and safety personnel
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with active HazMat and Tanker endorsements
- Current TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Minimum two years of professional driving experience
- Demonstrated experience transporting hazardous or specialized materials
- Strong safety orientation and regulatory compliance mindset
- Professional communication skills and reliable work ethic
