Hirschbach Motor Lines is hiring CDL-A Refrigerated Lease Purchase Drivers in Johnson County, Iowa. This full-time position offers experienced drivers the opportunity to operate modern refrigerated equipment across multi-state routes while maintaining independent owner-operator status.

About the Role

As a refrigerated lease purchase driver with Hirschbach Motor Lines, you'll manage an owner-operated tractor-trailer hauling temperature-sensitive freight. You'll build a sustainable career operating your own equipment while leveraging the company's established customer relationships and consistent freight opportunities across the Upper Midwest and Southeast regions.

Operational Territory

Your routes will span Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, South Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan. Most runs are over-the-road (OTR), allowing you to establish consistent regional patterns while maintaining the flexibility of independent ownership.

What You'll Do

• Operate refrigerated (reefer) trailers on established over-the-road routes
• Manage freight deliveries across the Midwest and Southeast network
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance protocols
• Coordinate with dispatch to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules
• Maintain detailed logs and ensure compliance with DOT regulations

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Proven commercial driving experience and clean driving record
• Ability to manage owner-operator responsibilities independently
• Strong communication and professional customer service skills
• Commitment to safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance
