The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Carpentry Technician for our theatrical production team at Cirque du Soleil. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of stunning sets and structures that bring our shows to life.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the construction, assembly, and disassembly of set pieces and props for theatrical performances.
- Work closely with designers and other technicians to ensure all carpentry work meets production standards.
- Utilize a variety of tools including power saws, drills, and measuring devices to perform precise cutting and shaping tasks.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during construction activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field is required.
- Familiarity with theatrical set design and construction techniques is preferred.
- Able to work efficiently under time constraints and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
