About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant at Sunrise Senior Living, you'll provide direct support that enables our residents to maintain independence, comfort, and quality of life. This is hands-on work where your presence and care directly impact the wellbeing of the people you serve.
What You'll Do
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Help with mobility, transferring, and safe movement throughout the community
- Support medication reminders and work closely with nursing staff
- Respond promptly to resident requests and maintain a clean, safe living environment
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
- Communicate effectively with the care team about resident needs and changes in condition
- Support dining and nutritional care as needed
What We're Looking For
- Genuine compassion and patience with seniors
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and mobility
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Clear communication skills and teamwork mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CNA certification or caregiving experience a plus, but we'll train the right person
- Ability to respect privacy and maintain confidentiality
