About the Role
As a Caregiver Education Specialist, you'll develop and deliver educational programs that help family members and caregivers gain the knowledge and confidence they need to provide quality care for aging and disabled loved ones. Your work will focus on empowering caregivers with the tools and information necessary for compassionate, effective support—particularly in dementia care and related health topics.
What You'll Do
- Design and facilitate workshops, seminars, and support group meetings for family caregivers
- Create educational materials and resources tailored to diverse caregiver needs and learning styles
- Provide one-on-one guidance and counseling to individuals caring for aging or disabled family members
- Develop partnerships with community organizations to expand the reach and impact of caregiver education
- Measure program effectiveness and continuously improve educational offerings based on participant feedback
- Research and stay current on best practices in elder care, caregiving support, and dementia education
- Connect families with local resources and services available through our agency and community partners
