Position Summary

We are seeking a commercially focused Buyer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in North Bradford. Operating within a technically complex, project-led environment, this role offers exposure to both strategic sourcing and day-to-day procurement activity across direct materials and specialist subcontracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality goods at competitive prices.
• Analyse market trends and supplier performance to drive cost savings initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and control procurement processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Skills & Qualifications

• A degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrable experience in procurement or purchasing roles within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
