SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe is hiring a Business Development Manager (m/w/d) to help scale our company pension and employee-benefits business across Germany (Bundesweit). Join our bKV major-accounts team and shape measurable growth in occupational provision solutions.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager (m/w/d) at SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe, you will join the "Belegschaftsgeschäft, Großkunden und Branchenlösungen" business field, supporting our ambition to become a leading provider for growth and customer satisfaction in occupational pensions (bAV), occupational disability insurance (bBU), and company health insurance (bKV). Working within the bKV major-accounts team, you act as the specialist point of contact who enables our sales channels to expand this field profitably and sustainably. This is a full-time position based in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable, sustainable growth in both new and existing business, partnering closely with all sales stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage nationwide major accounts together with the sales organisation
  • Help shape the concept and structure of how the business field approaches the market
  • Design tailored solution concepts and provision systems for large employers and entire industries
  • Present these solutions on-site alongside colleagues from sales
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional team to develop offerings for the business field
  • Support involved stakeholders in association and industry-body work
  • Provide impulses where training needs arise in the field

Qualifications

  • A qualification as Versicherungsfachwirt (m/w/d), a degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable background
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with decision-makers, plus solid argumentation and negotiation technique
  • Comprehensive knowledge of occupational provision, especially bKV — products, processes, labour law, social insurance, and tax
  • A goal- and results-oriented mindset, openness to change, and the drive to shape it actively
  • Hands-on experience with analytical tools and methods and with aligning across interfaces
  • Sound analytical ability and a confident grasp of figures
  • Agility, creativity, initiative, and the readiness to take responsibility and keep developing your skills
  • Enthusiasm for contributing your own ideas in an agile team
  • Willingness to travel within your regional area of responsibility
