Role Overview

The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is seeking dedicated individuals to join the ranks of Border Patrol Agents in Mathis, Texas. This role involves enforcing federal laws and regulations at the border, ensuring national security, and protecting our communities from illegal activities.

Your Responsibilities

• Enforce immigration and customs laws along the U.S. Southern Border
• Conduct surveillance and patrols to detect unauthorized entry into the United States
• Intercept and apprehend individuals attempting to enter the country illegally
• Perform duties in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Respond to emergencies and assist local law enforcement agencies as needed

Who We're Looking For

• A U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with a clean criminal record
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent required; some college preferred
• Must be able to pass a physical fitness test, drug screening, and background check
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in challenging environments
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
