About the Role

As a Graduate Assistant for Club Baseball, you will help guide the day-to-day operation of the club baseball program at Ottawa University in Surprise, Arizona. Working under the direction of program leadership, you will contribute to athlete development, team logistics, and the overall student-athlete experience while pursuing your graduate coursework. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity ideal for someone passionate about baseball and higher education.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and running club baseball practices, training, and competitions
• Support the recruitment, development, and mentorship of student-athletes
• Help coordinate team travel, scheduling, equipment, and game-day logistics
• Promote academic success, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the program's coaching and athletics staff

Qualifications

• Enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment, in a graduate program at Ottawa University
• Knowledge of baseball, including coaching, training, or competitive playing experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, around a practice and competition calendar
• Commitment to the academic and personal growth of student-athletes
