Mavis Tire Supply is seeking skilled Automotive Mechanics for a full‑time position at its Georgetown, Sussex County service center.

About the Role

As part of the workshop team, you will help keep customers’ vehicles safe and reliable by performing maintenance and repair work on a variety of makes and models. The role focuses on undercarriage systems, brakes, and tire services, supporting the shop’s reputation for quality workmanship.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, brake, and tire concerns.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, and suspension issues using diagnostic tools and visual checks.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top‑offs.
• Service and replace brake components, including pads, rotors, and calipers.
• Mount, balance, and repair tires; perform wheel alignments as needed.
• Carry out undercarriage repairs, including exhaust, steering, and drivetrain work.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
• Document services performed and communicate findings clearly to service advisors and customers.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working as an automotive mechanic or technician in a repair shop or dealership environment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, especially brakes, steering, suspension, and tire service.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality work and excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and stay current with industry developments.
• Basic computer skills for entering work orders and parts information.
