Sr Director Analyst, Enterprise Architect (Remote US)

About the Role

As a Senior Director Analyst within Gartner's Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, you'll become a recognized authority in enterprise architecture, building influence at local, regional, and global levels. Drawing on sharp research and analytical capability, you'll generate the pragmatic, forward-looking insights that Gartner clients rely on to advance their most critical business goals. You'll act as a trusted advisor, meeting clients through in-person sessions, virtual engagements, sales support, and Gartner conferences to unpack complex challenges and deliver sound recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce original, thought-provoking "must-have insights" that clients can act on immediately
• Develop fresh ideas and bold, independent perspectives that can reshape the direction of a research agenda
• Research, analyze, and forecast market trends to equip clients and vendors with actionable advice
• Deliver tailored guidance through virtual and face-to-face interactions aligned to your content area
• Craft and present compelling materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings
• Conduct timely, high-quality peer review of content
• Contribute to ideation, innovation, and research discussions across the Insights community
• Identify and improve research processes that strengthen service delivery
• Mentor and coach junior colleagues while championing a client-centric approach

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
• Hands-on experience leading or directing enterprise architecture within a corporate environment; a reporting line to a CIO, CTO, or similar leader is desirable
• Technical depth in one or more architecture domains such as AI, data, applications, or infrastructure
• Proven ability to link technical expertise to C-level strategy, with strong executive presence and instant credibility among senior stakeholders
• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and presentation skills, with strong business and financial acumen
• Skilled at synthesizing data, applying frameworks, and defending well-reasoned conclusions
• Self-directed yet collaborative within a multicultural, matrixed global team
• Willingness to travel up to 25% where applicable
