Join LA28 as an Associate, Games Data, Demand Model, and Code Set in our full-time, office-based role in Downtown Los Angeles. You'll help build the data infrastructure that powers the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What This Role Involves

The Games Demand Model serves as the central reference for allocating resources and managing operations across the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics. You'll be responsible for ensuring all LA28 teams—from venues and transportation to ticketing and security—work from current, accurate demand forecasts. You'll collaborate with data leaders, technology teams, and operational stakeholders to build and refine this model, translating planning needs into actionable data systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Games Demand Model, ensuring stakeholders access the latest demand data and planning assumptions
  • Build, organize, maintain, and archive datasets and code sets in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Partner with data stewards to validate accuracy and completeness of datasets—including venue data, schedules, population estimates, and behavioral modeling
  • Contribute to developing planning assumptions that inform demand forecasting
  • Serve as a data steward for key information sets and taxonomies
  • Work with the Technology team to sustain systems and data architecture
  • Support ETL workflows and develop dashboards and analyses for operational planning
  • Advise LA28 teams on data strategy and model evolution
  • Lead integration of new datasets into the Games Demand Model
  • Support governance activities and meetings
  • Contribute to Games-time monitoring and reporting
  • Establish data governance policies and ensure consistent terminology use across LA28

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, economics, or equivalent experience
  • Strong data analysis skills with knowledge of data engineering and processing best practices
  • Technical proficiency with Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, Tableau, and Excel
  • Solid grounding in statistics and experience with forecast models
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining code sets and taxonomies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Flexibility in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • Strategic mindset and ability to connect data work to organizational goals
  • Preferred: background in event planning, large-scale project management, or passion for sports and community engagement
