Monro is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our Virginia Beach automotive service location. If you're a hands-on leader ready to drive operational excellence at Store 1047, we want to meet you.
About the Role
As Assistant Store Manager at our Virginia Beach store, you'll support the daily operations of a busy automotive repair and service center. This full-time hourly position makes you a key holder and puts you on the front lines of leadership. You'll step into the manager-on-duty role whenever the Store Manager is away or when operational demands require it, ensuring our service team runs smoothly and customers receive exceptional care.
What You'll Do
- Act as manager on duty, overseeing store operations, staff, and customer service in the Store Manager's absence
- Support day-to-day management of the automotive service center, including scheduling, inventory, and service quality
- Lead and supervise team members to deliver consistent, professional customer service
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and store security
- Monitor work in progress, quality standards, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Help recruit, train, and develop service team members
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet sales and service targets
What We're Looking For
- Proven retail or service management experience, preferably in automotive
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business demands
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation
- Cash handling and point-of-sale system proficiency
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work flexible hours to support business needs
- Reliability and a commitment to safety and compliance
