What This Role Involves

The Assistant Director of Engineering will oversee and coordinate all engineering operations to ensure the smooth running of the resort's facilities. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades; ensuring compliance with safety standards; and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support guest experiences.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of engineering staff and contractors
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all resort facilities
• Ensure timely repairs and upgrades to maintain facility integrity
• Collaborate with property management, maintenance, and vendors to address issues promptly
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards
• Prepare and manage budgets related to engineering operations

What You Bring

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures is necessary.
