About the Role
As an Asset Protection Specialist at Home Depot, your core mission is to reduce financial loss tied to theft and fraud while championing safety and environmental compliance across your assigned store or group of stores in Villano Beach, St. Johns County. You'll combine sharp observation, investigative tools, and sound judgment to protect company assets every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect, deter, and respond to incidents of theft and fraud within your assigned location(s)
- Monitor and review CCTV footage and exception-based reporting to identify suspicious activity
- Support and reinforce store compliance with safety and environmental programs
- Apply company-approved tools and methods to minimize shrink and financial loss
- Partner with store leadership and associates to promote a secure shopping and working environment
- Document investigations and incidents accurately and follow established procedures
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize patterns of theft or fraud
- Comfort working with surveillance technology such as CCTV and exception-reporting systems
- Sound decision-making and integrity when handling sensitive situations
- Clear communication skills for working alongside associates, leaders, and outside partners
- Willingness to support safety and environmental compliance initiatives
- Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule in Villano Beach, St. Johns County
