About the Role

As an Asset Protection Specialist at Home Depot in Colorado Springs, you'll serve as the front line of defense against theft, fraud, and financial loss. You'll work across store operations to uphold safety standards, ensure environmental program compliance, and create a secure environment for associates and customers alike.

What You'll Do

• Identify, investigate, and document incidents of internal and external theft and fraud
• Monitor CCTV systems and review exception-based reporting to detect suspicious activity
• Partner with store leadership and law enforcement to resolve loss prevention cases
• Conduct surveillance and floor walks to deter shrinkage before it occurs
• Support store compliance with safety regulations and environmental programs
• Educate and train store associates on asset protection best practices
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate case records
• Respond to safety incidents and assist with emergency procedures as needed

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to identify theft indicators and conduct professional investigations
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, exception reporting tools, and loss prevention technology
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment
• Sound judgment when approaching sensitive situations involving customers or associates
• Clear written and verbal communication for report writing and team collaboration
• Ability to work independently across one or multiple store locations
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn relevant safety and environmental compliance standards
• Prior experience in retail loss prevention, security, or a related field preferred
